Everest Base Camp Trek 2026 – RTNP

The 2026 edition of the Everest Base Camp trek was organised by RT Nepal as an international fellowship event, and as part of Project Care: Clean and Restore Everest.

Attendance

The trek consisted of 35 Tablers and Old Tablers from

RT Nepal, RT India, RT Malta, RT Romania, RT Germany, RT Mauritius, RT Sri Lanka, RT Luxembourg, RT Sweden, RT Southern Africa, and well as a partner and a twinkler.

The team was supported by guides and sherpas.

At the time, it was the largest single contingent attempting EBC of the season.

At Everest Base Camp, RTI President Christopher Mintoff awarded the RTI Honour Medal to RT Nepal President Sumit Mittal for “overcoming the hurdles of organizing such a large event, of fun, fellowship and friendship, even bringing on his family, which fully encompass the full extend of Round Table”

Trekkers collected trash during their trek, resulting in ….kg being cleared up. In collaboration with SPCC.
