The charity gin of RT 46 Karlsruhe is a social project launched in 2023 that combines financial support for a regional company with charitable engagement.

In 2023, the Karlsruhe-based company Breaks faced economic difficulties after a large order that had already been produced was cancelled at short notice. Although the gin had been fully manufactured, it could not be accepted as planned, creating a financial risk for the company.

RT 46 Karlsruhe decided to support the company in this situation and purchased a total of 300 bottles of the already produced gin. Breaks contributed to the initiative by relabeling the bottles with a custom RT 46 Karlsruhe label free of charge. This relabeling service was provided at no additional cost, meaning that RT 46 Karlsruhe only covered the original purchase price.

The charity gin was offered at a retail price of 35 euros per bottle. Due to the favorable purchasing conditions, a corresponding margin could be achieved. All profits from the sales are earmarked for a specific purpose.

The proceeds from the project are used entirely to support social projects for children and young people in Karlsruhe. The aim is to promote local initiatives and support programs that benefit young people.

The project is considered an example of a successful combination of economic support for a regional company and social commitment. It demonstrates how cooperation and swift action can turn an economic challenge into a charitable benefit.
