Il Progetto CEE sui bisogni di base

Region: Regione Europa centrale e orientale Category: Service Project Period: 2025 – Ongoing

The CEE Basic Needs Project is an international Round Table initiative, uniting all clubs across Regione Europa centrale e orientale to fund high-impact service projects around the world that meet essential human needs – food, water, health, education, and housing.

Inspired by Round Table Austria’s 90/10 model, the project aims to encourage every association or every club to dedicate a part of its charity funds to international projects, leveraging the power of strong currencies to deliver life-changing results where they’re needed most.

Project Structure and Governance

The CEE CSO collects projects, nominates up to 3 projects, publishes them to organize funding, helps transfer the funds, and supports local tables in executing the projects. Lastly, the CEE CSO reports the results to the CEE Councilors at the Regional Meeting on the RTIWM for full transparency.

First-Year Impact

In its first year, the CEE Basic Needs Project demonstrated strong collaboration and tangible impact across the region. Together, CEE associations and clubs successfully raised over €38,000 to support international service initiatives, benefiting more than 1,300 people worldwide.

Key projects included “Baking for Future” in Nepal, implemented with RT Luxembourg, where a bakery training facility is being built for €6,500 to support over 60 beneficiaries; “Equipping Classrooms” in Madagascar, delivered with RT Madagascar, providing five fully equipped classrooms for €15,000 and improving learning conditions for 150 children; and the “Double Bucket Water Project” in Zimbabwe, carried out with RT Harare, financing 280 water filtration systems for €16,600 and ensuring access to clean drinking water for over 1,120 people.

This successful first year highlights the power of regional cooperation and sets a strong foundation for future growth and impact.
