Standards for all articles
✅ Things to aim for:
-
- Keep a standard format for pages, like Associations, Landmarks, etc.
- Use the wiki as an archive for “further information” on your Association or club, NOT as the frontpage or recruitment page.
- Consider moving long lists or long sections to their own pages, linked to the main article.
- Use links within the wiki to create relationships between articles.
- The opening sentences of a page shall link back to the main page, eg:
Associations pages link to their Regions and to the Main Associations article.
Postage Stamps links back to Customs and Traditions
Community Service Project Award Honourees links back to RTI Awards. - Objective superlatives need to qualified (eg. Largest Association by number of members).
- Anecdotes or Essays that are the opinion, advice or research of the author, and should be marked accordingly.
❌ The Wiki Shall Not Contain:
-
- Subjective superlatives (eg. Best world meeting of the decade),
- Posts about future events,
- Articles about individuals beyond the context of Round Table,
- Promotions of individuals,
- Content that can be considered to be dispariging or judgemental,
- Pointless drama,
- Pages with many photos of events; use external albums and link to them,
- Exact figures that can change quickly, like no. of members. “less than 100”, not “87 members”
- Information that can be sensitive, even if available in minutes, such as budgets.

- Movember for the global initiative and Movember (RTBE) for RT Belgium’s own Campaign

OTHER EVENTS:
Names of international events, or initiatives that are not always organised by one specific Association do not need the RTI Acronym, eg: EuroSki

eg: Louis Marchesi Pub (UK) — Note, “Pub” is added for clarification in this case.
HyperLinks
Links to content out of this wiki shall be labelled accordingly with the name of the site/service. The hyperlink can be in text preceeding the label, or within the label itself, with an option icon (🔗) eg:
- Find the report here (🔗Tabler.World)
