Liechtenstein, officially the Principality of Liechtenstein is a doubly landlocked alpine country in Central Europe, bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and by Austria to the east and north.

The first and only Table in Liechtenstein, RT1 Vaduz, was chartered by RT Switzerland on 22nd September 1990 as a member Table of RT Switzerland.

The charter ceremony was attended by about 100 people, mostly from RT Switzerland and RT Germany. At the Charter ceremony no women were allowed. The speaker stopped the first speech as he has spotted a Lady sitting in the first row, asking her what she was doing there. She replied “I’m from the press” so the speaker carried on.

RT Vaduz remained a member of RT Switzerland until the start of the 21st Century when it was closed as the number of members fell considerably.

In recent years there was some movement to re-charter RT Vaduz, but nothing has been achieved until now.

The alternative Rondel

The centre of the Rondel of RT1 Vaduz was the crown of Liechtenstein. The symbol is a gold crown, outfined in black. It is the symbol of Princely authority and symbolizes the bond between Liechtenstein’s prince, the state and the people.
