To shape the future, we must remember the past. Ex-members and their families, including children, can be valuable additions to the club, bringing with them the spirit, traditions, and connections that can help reignite the club’s energy. This project aims to reconnect ex-members, regardless of their current affiliations, and engage their children, friends, and networks in our clubs. Ex-members serve as a living history of the association, with experience, connections, and potential resources to strengthen the club’s ties with the local community.
How to Start:
Re-engage ex-members, many of whom drifted away for personal reasons, by organizing an informal reunion that reignites their passion for the association. Collaborate with them on a local service project, fostering stronger bonds between current members and ex-members. Encourage ex-members to spread the word among their networks to help reconnect with others and revitalize the club’s traditions.
Ex-As a New Beginning:
Reconnecting with ex-members is vital to preserving your club’s traditions, customs, and soul. While reaching out to Gen Z is important, it’s crucial not to lose touch with your club’s past. The children of ex-members, even if too young to join, can offer insights into engaging younger generations, linking the past to the future.
