The Aims and Objectives (previously referred to as Aims and Objects) are the guiding principles for every Table, Association, and RTI itself. At the start of every formal meeting, the chairman asks all the attendees to be upstanding and asks one of those present to read the Aims and Objectives. In this regard, it is customary to ask the youngest attendee or the newest member to read.

- To emphasize the fact that oneβs calling offers an excellent medium of service to the community;
- To cultivate the highest ideals in business, professional, and civic traditions;
- To recognize the worthiness of all legitimate occupations and to dignify each his own precept and example;
- To further the establishment of peace and goodwill in international relationships;
- To further these objectives by meetings, lectures, discussions and other activities.
