RT 18 Numbers Meeting

Overview

Once per year, around May / June, all tables internationally, including the number 18 in their table number, are invited to join in a long celebratory weekend.

The host changes every year and gets chosen by winning a song context taking place during the numbers meeting. As every table should regularly get the chance to host, the performance during the song context might not be the only factor in determining next year’s host.

Historically being called Euromeeting, this was changed in 2018 after participation was expanded to tables outside Europe.

Participation numbers range from 20 to 50 and include Tablers, their partners, and their families.

Agenda

The meeting runs either Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Sunday with the traditional song contest happening in a relaxed atmosphere on Friday night and Saturday night being a sometimes more sometimes less formal gala event. During the day, host-planned activities allow guests to experience the local table’s city and surroundings.
