Within Round Table Britain & Ireland (RTBI), Soap Box Derbies (or Soap Box Races), are a community fundraising events in which teams construct and race non-motorised, gravity-powered carts. The races attract public participation and spectators, combining creativity and competition while raising funds for charitable initiatives. Many RTBI Tables organise annual Soap Box Derbies as signature community events, fostering fellowship and local engagement.

Hosted the Ilfracombe Round Table Soap Box Derby on Sunday, 10 August 2025 at Larkstone Lane, Ilfracombe. The event included racing homemade carts in a family-friendly, charitable setting. This is the first-ever Derby in Ilfracombe and benefits Children’s Hospice South West. Main Website🔗
