RT 171 Bordesholm, and subsequent name change
For most of its existence, the club was called “RT 171 Bordesholm”. Bordesholm is a town in the central region of Schleswig-Holstein, commonly referred to as Mittelholstein, and is often considered one of its key towns.
In 2025 (during a.…..) the club was renamed as it is today. By adopting the name RT 171 Mittelholstein, the club expanded its identity beyond Bordesholm to represent the wider central Schleswig-Holstein region, including towns such as Neumünster, Nortorf, Brügge, Wattenbek, and their surrounding communities.

The main element is a white stork in flight with wings spread wide. The stork is often associated with Schleswig-Holstein, as it is a regional symbol and common bird in northern Germany. During the Summer months, villages in the area would be populated by migratory storks while they are resting. Wavy lines at the bottom represent the landscape and waterways of Schleswig-Holstein, a region between the North Sea and Baltic Sea.

The central element is a large linden tree, illustrated with a thick brown trunk and broad green foliage. The linden tree (“Linde” in German) is a well-known symbol of Bordesholm, representing tradition, community, and local identity.

An older version leans more on heraldic tradition, making it feel like a municipal coat of arms adapted for the Round Table. It already had a liden tree as the main element. Beneath the tree, on a blue background, is a white fleur-de-lis, a heraldic element that often symbolizes purity, tradition, and community. The field is divided: the upper part is yellow (gold) with the linden tree, while the lower part is blue with waves, representing the lakes and waterways around Bordesholm.
