The Duck Race Luxembourg is the flagship fundraising event organised annually by Round Table Luxembourg (RTLU). First launched in 2002, it has become one of the most beloved public charity events in the country, attracting thousands of participants, families, and supporters each spring to the Pétrusse valley in Luxembourg City.

At the heart of the event is a playful and exciting concept: thousands of numbered rubber ducks are released into the river for a race. Each duck represents a ticket purchased in advance, with fantastic prizes up for grabs—including new cars, electric bikes, VIP experiences, and more. All proceeds from the event go directly to charitable organisations, both local and international.

The Duck Race is more than just a race—it’s a full-day festival. A family-friendly village is set up around the race site, featuring:

    • Live DJ performances
    • Food and drink stands
    • Activities for children
    • Sponsor booths and charity information stands

Supported by local authorities, businesses, and volunteers, the event emphasises community, inclusion, and environmental responsibility (e.g., no plastic waste left behind). It has consistently drawn widespread media attention and has helped raise hundreds of thousands of euros for a variety of causes, including healthcare, education, humanitarian aid, and youth empowerment. 100% of proceeds go to charity.

Organised with precision and passion by volunteers from RTLU’s Tables, the Duck Race demonstrates the club’s capacity to mobilise, unite, and make a tangible difference while bringing people together in a spirit of fun and generosity.
