AGM on ICE is the signature annual event hosted by Round Table Norway 26 Asker. Set in the majestic Norwegian highlands, it blends the formalities of a club Annual General Meeting with adventurous winter activities and strong international fellowship.

It is typically hosted at the Storefjell Mountain Resort in Golsfjellet.

While primarily the AGM for RTNO26 Asker, the event is open to the wider Round Table community, including 41ers, Circlers, and Tangents, making it a popular international gathering.

Origins and Concept

Conceived as more than just a business meeting, AGM on ICE is designed to showcase the best of Norwegian nature, hospitality, and Round Table camaraderie. It takes place in a remote, scenic mountain lodge where attendees are treated to a weekend of reflection, elections, and exhilarating winter fun.

Format and Activities

The weekend typically includes:

    • The official AGM session, where RTNO 26 elects its new board and reflects on the past year.
    • Snow-based adventures such as snowmobiling, tobogganing, and cross-country skiing.
    • Sauna and hot tub relaxation, sometimes under the northern lights.
    • Ice bar and mountain dinners, featuring local cuisine and Norwegian drinks.
    • Fellowship evenings with themed parties and music.

Guests fly into Oslo Gardermoen (OSL) and are transferred up into the mountains, often by coach or organized shuttle, setting the tone for an immersive and inclusive experience. The transfer is considered to be a memorable experience in itself.

Culture and Impact

AGM on ICE has earned a strong reputation across the international Round Table community as one of the most distinctive club AGMs. Often described as a “bucket list” event, its name and scale have led to a common misconception that it is the National AGM of Round Table Norway—when in fact, it is the annual meeting of RTNO 26 Asker. True to the spirit of Adopt, Adapt, Improve, the event transforms a standard club AGM into a remarkable international experience, celebrating fellowship, nature, and shared values.
