Admission as a Tabler

The admission process varies from table to table. At the Lucerne Table, new candidates are proposed by a godfather Tabler. If the proposal is accepted, the candidate is invited to a meal with a small group of Tablers, with the aim of getting to know each other.

If the impression is positive and the candidate remains interested, he then participates in three events to become familiar with the entire table. After this period, the Tablers vote on his admission in the candidate’s absence. The formal admission takes place during a short ceremony at the following event.

Social Engagement

Round Table is socially committed. Round Table 12 Lucerne aims to give not only money but also time to people who are disadvantaged.

At present RT12 supports the following projects:

Foundation for People with Severe Disabilities (ssbl.ch🔗)

RT12 organises shared events and outings for example Goldau animal park, the Swiss Museum of Transport, the Höllgrotten caves or an evening of lotto.

The Büez (thebuez.ch🔗)

For ten years the Büez association has offered long term unemployed young adults a springboard to re enter the primary job market. RT12 actively helps job seekers by actively connecting them through the network of RT12 Tablers and C41ers.

Fokus Familie Foundation (fokusfamilie.ch)

The Fokus Familie Foundation supports disadvantaged families who must live close to the minimum subsistence level through a wide range of activities. RT12 helps the foundation financially and work actively at the Lucerne Family Day (luzernerfamilientag.ch🔗).

National Events

RT12 Lucerne is an active club within the RTCH family. In addition to local events, RT12 regularly organizes events within the region and national events within Switzerland. Most recently RT12 hosted the RTCH AGM 2023 at the KKL directly by the lake followed by a gala dinner at the Casino Lucerne.
