History

Round Table 1 Paris holds a unique place in the history of French Round Table. The club’s founding meeting took place on 28 October 1949, leading to its official charter on 21 October 1950 as the first Round Table club in France. Since then, RT1 Paris has played a central role in the development of the French movement and remains one of its most historically significant clubs.

Beyond its own history, RTFR1 Paris serves as the guardian of the heritage of Round Table France. The club maintains an extensive collection of archives, regalia and historical documents that effectively forms a small museum dedicated to the French Round Table movement. Visitors passing through Paris are encouraged to arrange a visit, offering a rare opportunity to explore decades of Round Table history preserved by the country’s founding table.
