A statue of Napoleon Bonaparte on a Prancing Horse by artist Marco Puccinelli was inaugurated in 2021 in Piazza del Bastione, San Miniato, as part of the bicentennial celebrations of Napoleon’s death. The corten steel sculpture, standing three meters tall, commemorates Napoleon’s 1796 meeting with his uncle in the city. The initiative was organized by RTIT 76 San Miniato Fucecchio, with funding from local sponsors, and gifted to the municipality. Mayor Simone Giglioli expressed gratitude and hopes for future artistic collaborations.
