Non è per niente giusto! (It’s Not Fair at All!) is a children’s picture book written by Cristina Petit and published by La Pulce Edizioni, intended for readers aged three and up.

Through the classic tale of Little Red Riding Hood, the story explores themes of kindness, justice, empathy, and the right to well-being.
Red Riding Hood meets several unfair and unkind characters — a rude wolf, an overbearing ogre, and a cruel witch — despite always being kind herself. The story encourages children to speak up, seek help, and trust in good people when facing injustice or mistreatment.

Round Table Italy’s Role

Round Table Italy (RTIT), together with Ladies Circle IT and Agora IT, strongly supported this project, united by a shared belief in the power of education and the lifelong impact of books read from an early age. These associations have long been committed to supporting families and children, convinced that growing up with the right words, the right stories, and positive examples truly makes a difference.

Created to help, to protect, and to nurture, Non è per Niente Giusto! has been donated to many children through the efforts of Round Table Italy, Ladies Circle, and Agora. The hope behind this initiative is that its pages may make a difference precisely when it is most needed

This publication was created with a clear purpose: to help children recognize what is not right, to name difficult emotions, and to find the courage to ask for help.
The story uses familiar characters and relatable situations so that every child can understand that injustices should never be silenced, and that there are always adults ready to listen and protect them.

It promotes respect, fairness, and emotional expression, while fostering awareness of bullying and empathy.
Through vivid illustrations and accessible language, it encourages children to find their voice, strengthen emotional awareness, and learn to ask for help. It shows that love, courage, and solidarity are stronger than fear, helping readers build a lasting sense of justice, respect, and trust.

The story of the book is described as follows:

In the forest today, many injustices are taking place. Little Red Riding Hood meets a rude wolf, a bullying ogre, and a witch who mistreats her. Yet she has been kind to everyone. It’s simply not fair! When things like this happen, you should confide in good people, ask for help, and make sure someone steps in—because these things should never happen to children.

A powerful picture book about the right to well-being, it encourages readers not to endure bullying but to always seek out people who truly care for them. A story that touches deep emotional chords, connected to the personal experiences of each of us.

The collaboration with La Pulce Edizioni and author Cristina Petit developed over years of trust and mutual respect. From this partnership was born the idea of creating a book that combines quality, sensitivity, and a powerful message:

No child should ever feel alone when facing an injustice.

A Companion for Growth

This book is meant to be a companion on the journey of growth — giving a voice to children who are still learning how to express their feelings, and offering a simple, meaningful tool for parents, teachers, and educators.
It serves as a reminder that courage can also be born from the stories that accompany us.
