Alto Adige – Südtirol is a unique Alpine region in northern Italy, characterized by its bilingual culture, strong local traditions, and close ties to both Italian and Central European heritage. With its blend of mountainous landscapes, cultural diversity, and civic engagement, the region offers a distinctive and outward-looking environment for Round Table activities.

Located in the Italian Alps, near the borders with Switzerland and Austria, RT25 Alto Adige is the only club in Italy that operates in two languages: German and Italian. This unique cultural background fosters a strong spirit of travel and international engagement.

The table has not only hosted two of the last six National IROs, but its members have also participated in numerous international events — including the RT 25 Numbers Meetings, the Charter of St. Petersburg, and many more.

A notable development in the club’s recent history occurred in 2024–2025, when RT25 absorbed the members of the now-defunct RT15 Bolzano, which was also located in the same region. As a result, the club changed its name from Round Table No. 25 Merano Meran to Round Table No. 25 Alto Adige – Südtirol. Between 2003 and 2010, the club was inactive.

#RTIT25 is twinned with RTIT 22 Firenze and RTIT 9 Trieste, both of which are Italian tables. Members of RT25 chartered the local 41er Club, Club 41 N. 12 Merano, in March 1996.

Club Events

Festa della Birra

Each year, at the beginning of May, the table hosts the “Bierfest – Festa della Birra” — an afternoon spent with friends and family enjoying drinks and plenty of BBQ. This event is one of the few National Events in Italy, as it is co-hosted with RTIT 22 Firenze, which usually brings the famous Fiorentina T‑bone steak to the table, and RTIT 27 Ascoli Piceno, known for their arrosticini — small lamb skewers roasted over charcoal.

Motoraduno

In 2017, RTIT 25 hosted the Motoraduno

Club Logo Symbolism

Due to its dynamic history and many changes, the club logo has undergone several redesigns over the years. Following the merger with RT15 and the resulting name change, the members decided to update the logo to reflect this new chapter.

The current Coat of Arms resembles the provincial coat of arms, featuring a modernized version of the traditional Tyrolean eagle. This has been adapted to the colors of Round Table Italy (RTIT) and includes the RTIT rondel.

Previous Logo Versions

The previous version, used between 2010 and 2024 by what was then known as Round Table No. 25 Merano Meran, incorporated the RTIT rondel and the head of a Haflinger horse — a tribute to the region’s famous horse breed and the local horse racing track, one of the largest in Italy.

Before the recharter, from 1979 to 2023, the logo featured a stylized image of Schloss Tirol, the ancient castle of the Counts of Tyrol. This historic landmark, which has towered over the city for centuries, served as an important political center in the region since the Middle Ages.
