Signatures and Greetings

When fresh Tablers start receiving Round Table communication, they quickly notice a greeting above the signature that differs from the standard “Yours truly” or “Kind Regards”.

These greetings are an easy way to identify oneself as a Tabler in formal correspondence, such as letters, emails, and initial messages, even on social media. The greeting is then followed by one’s name, and their Association and role.

The most common is “Yours in Tabling”, which is sometimes abbreviated to “YiT”.

Yours in Tabling,
Krister Vellet
Round Table Estonia
National Secretary 2022–2023

In communications between Associations, the “YiT” is sometimes replaced with “YiiT”, which is an abbreviation for “Yours in international Tabling”.

In communications between other organisations, such as with Club 41 and Ladies Circle, the signature is changed to “Yours in Friendship”.
