Program

Day 1 – Saturday, 27 September 2025 (Arrival & Boat Check-in)

Location: Marina di Scarlino, Tuscany

The event began with participant arrivals and registration at Marina di Scarlino, from morning until late evening, via car, rental vehicles, or trains from the surrounding airports. Boats were available for check-in from 17:00, and skippers attended a meeting at 19:00 to receive important instructions. The evening concluded with the “Berlin Welcome Night” at the pier, featuring food, music, currywurst, and Berliner Luft. On the boats, celebrations continued late into the night, with participants enjoying a lively and festive atmosphere.

Day 2 – Sunday, 28 September 2025 (Marciana Marina)

Route: Marina di Scarlino → Marciana Marina (28 nautical miles)

After breakfast at 07:30 delivered from the support boat, participants departed at 09:00, with the race starting at 09:30. Boats arrived at Marciana Marina around 16:00, where crews docked and enjoyed drinks at the pier. In the evening, participants had dinner at various local restaurants in the town center and later attended the after-party at the sailing club, which was located in a small, cozy courtyard in the heart of the town.

Day 3 – Monday, 29 September 2025 (Portoferraio)

Route: Marciana Marina → Portoferraio (10–15 nautical miles)

The day began with early jogging at 07:45, followed by a skipper meeting at 08:30. Boats departed at 09:30, and the Up-&-Down race ran from 10:30 to approximately 15:30. The finish line was located in the larger harbor of Portoferraio, which was busy with ferry traffic.

In the late afternoon, crews participated in harbor games, including a soccer match at 17:30. Dinner was served at 20:00 in an event called “Pasta Escalation”, held near the shore on a pebble beach on the northern side of the bay, in the shadow of Forte Falcone.

Day 4 – Tuesday, 30 September 2025 (Lazy Day)

Location: Portoferraio

Day 4 was designed as a free day with no fixed schedule. Participants could sleep in, relax, or explore the area at their own pace. Many crews took the opportunity to explore the island by scooter or car, or travel from bay to bay by boat, sometimes together with other crews, to enjoy a relaxing day. They stayed reachable by phone and checked their supplies, contacting the organizers if needed.

Day 5 – Wednesday, 1 October 2025 (Fetovaia)

Route: Portoferraio → Marina di Campo (≈20 nautical miles)

The day began with early jogging and stretching at 07:30, followed by the skipper meeting at 08:00. Boats departed shortly after, and the Flying Race started between 09:00 and 09:30. The first part of the race was slow, with just a few knots of wind. After rounding the horn on the southern part of the island, the second part of the race became rough and fast, with winds reaching up to 30 knots. The race finished around 16:00, after which participants anchored and enjoyed an aperitivo at 16:00 and 17:30.

In the evening, the Running Dinner had been planned for 19:30, with crews rotating between boats while skippers remained on their own vessels. However, due to strong winds, most crews stayed on their own boats for safety reasons. The organizing team delivered aperitifs to the boats in the bay by zodiac, allowing the evening to wind down in a relaxed and enjoyable manner.

Day 6 – Thursday, 2 October 2025 (Porto Azzurro)

Route: Marina Di Campo → Porto Azzurro (≈20 nautical miles)

The day began with a skipper meeting at 08:00, where all crews received important race instructions. Boats departed shortly after, with the Flying Race starting between 09:30 and 10:00, marking the beginning of the competitive sailing segment. Strong winds and larger waves outside the bay proved challenging, but they also provided crews with a lot of fun and high speeds. Fortunately, there were no significant damages. The race finished around 15:30, followed by drinks at the pier at 16:00, allowing participants to relax and socialize after the race.

In the evening, participants gathered for dinner at 19:30 at Ristorante Delfino Verde, followed by a 90s Italo-pop party at Bar ZeroSei, providing a festive and lively conclusion to the day, including the announcement of the race winners.

Day 7 – Friday, 3 October 2025 (Marina di Scarlino / Finale)

Route: Porto Azzurro → Marina di Scarlino (≈20 nautical miles)

The day began with a light jogging session at 07:45 to energize participants for the final race. Shortly after, at 08:00, all skippers attended the meeting to receive race instructions and briefing.

The Flying Race started between 10:00 and 10:30, giving boats a 30-minute window to cross the start line. The race finished around 14:00, after which participants docked their boats at 15:00 and prepared for the evening celebrations.

The closing dinner and party, held at The Beach Luxury Club / Il Tarantella at 18:30, featured the winner announcement, a presentation of EuroSail 2026, and group photos with the official banner handover, providing a festive conclusion to the event.
