RT 60 Numbers Meeting

Overview

Every year in May all international Round Table 60 Tables are invited to join in the Numbers Meeting. The meeting is well visited and participation numbers range from 30 to 60. This includes Tablers and their families and 41 Club. Home hosting is the standard and the 41 Club is often necessary to take in guests as well.

The hosting Table changes every year and is determined during the IRO meeting on Saturday. After the formal Banner Exchange, where every Table thanks the hosts and tells about their Table and Association whilst sharing their local or national drink and food, the IRO’s come together. They will determine the next host and there’s a strong lobby amongst the Tables, for example Hammerfest wanted to host in 2025 because of their 50-year anniversary.

Agenda

The meeting is often held in the weekend of Labour Day (May 1th) or Ascension Day and runs from Thursday to Sunday. Most of the RT60 Number Meetings have a similar agenda with recurring nights and activities:

    • Thursday: Arrivals, Housing in, Welcome Party/BBQ

Dormant or non-participating
Britain is back!

During the Gala Night of Numbers Meeting 2025 in Hammerfest the hosts started a video. The video was from our brothers of RTBI 60 Barnsley. Being non-participating, or maybe even dormant, for the last couple of years, they announced their return and promised to be there in Orleans in 2026. This was received with loud cheers and raising the glass for this festive announcement: Skål!

Future plans: RT60, RT160, RT260?

During the IRO Meeting in the 2025 Hammerfest Numbers Meeting the IRO’s talked about the possibility of including and inviting the hundreth numbers. Not yet set in stone but many RT60 Tablers feel it would be great to see if this is possible in the future.
