The RTI Council is the core decision-making body of Round Table International (RTI), composed primarily of representatives from each Full Member Association.
The RTI Council sets the strategic direction of Round Table International by debating motions, approving rulebook changes, and endorsing major initiatives. It provides governance by reviewing board reports, financials, and ensuring alignment with RTI’s aims. The Council also elects the RTI Board during the AGM.
Composition
The RTI Council consists of:

- RTI Board Members, including the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Regional Chairmen.
- Councillors, each representing a Full Member Association of RTI.
- Observers may be allowed, such as representatives from associate members or service providers, but they do not have voting rights.
Council Votes
The Council may be called to cast on motions, budgets, elections, and proposed meetings.

Meetings
The RTI Council meets formally twice a year:

- At the RTI Half Year Meeting (HYM): A mid-term review of projects and progress.
- At the RTI World Meeting (AGM): A full year-end review and planning for the next term.
- Additional informal Councillors Meetings may be held online during the year.
Code of Conduct
Council members are expected to:

- Uphold the values of RTI.
- Behave ethically and responsibly at all events.
- Respect others’ opinions while representing their own association’s views.
- Avoid any action that could bring RTI into disrepute.
