What’s the difference between Agora and Tangent?

Agora and Tangent are both international women’s organizations connected to the Round Table movement, originally formed for former members of Ladies’ Circle. Agora, founded in France (1987), has a strong presence across Europe and beyond, welcoming women of all ages who share the Circle’s values. Tangent, which originated in the UK (1950s), traditionally caters to women over 45 and is closely linked to British and Commonwealth countries. Both clubs promote friendship, community service, and continuity of the Table spirit, each with its own cultural emphasis and traditions.
