Christmas Convoys are charity drives where volunteers collect Christmas gift parcels (shoeboxes) for children in need and then deliver them by truck convoys to schools, kindergartens, orphanages, and community centers—mainly in Eastern Europe.
In the Round Table family, the best-known is Germany’s Weihnachtspäckchenkonvoi (by Round Table, Ladies’ Circle, Old Tablers, Tangent). Austria runs a similar Weihnachtspackerlaktion and often coordinates with the same network. People pack a shoebox (toys, school items, sweets, hygiene goods), local clubs collect and sort, and the convoy drives to countries like Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Ukraine for direct, on-site handover. No cash gifts, just parcels.
