The Southern European Mediterranean Tablers Meetings (SEMTM) for 2024 was held in Malta. Attendees experienced the legandary warm hospitality of Maltese Tablers with ice-cold beers. Suncream was a must! The event was mainly hosted at the Qawra Palace Resort and Spa.
Friday Morning
We headed off to the coast to board our own chartered boat. We swam, dove and drank at the Blue Lagoon near the island of Comino.
Friday Evening
We met Neptune at his own brewery! A party with beertasting at the Farsons Brewhouse.
Business Meeting
The SEM AGM was chaired by the SEM Regional Chairman, Christos Demetriades.
A workshop was chaired by the RTI Pesident Marc Germeshausen and the RTI Vice President, with the subject “What is Round Table”.
Gala
The gala was hosted at the landmark that is The Villa, by XARA Collection, in Balluta. Awards were handed out by the Chairman for the SEM Association of the Year, Table of the Year, and Tabler of the Year. The event included the induction of one new member into Round Table Malta.
An afterparty followed were a member of Round Table was the headlining DJ.
Promotion of Event
Mascot: Whiza, is a Maltese Wall Lizard (Filfola lizard). He usually hangs out in Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, arable land, pastureland, and rural gardens. Usually when other males enter its territory, he puffs up and raises his head. A similar behaviour is seen when they attract females. When hanging out with Tablers, he loves nothing more than relaxing by a pool with an ice-cold beer. A Pool Lizard by nature! His life mantra is “YOLO!! .… But gently.”
