A Mediterranean island with a rich history and strategic location, Cyprus has long been a crossroads of civilizations, blending Greek, Turkish, Armenian, and other cultural influences. Often referred to as the “Island of the Gods”, Cyprus is about three times the size of Mallorca. Despite these divisions, the island remains a place of strong community ties and deep-rooted traditions, making it a fitting home for Round Table Cyprus (RT Cyprus).
Since the chartering of its first Table in 1978, followed by the formation of a National Association in 1980, RT Cyprus has played an active role in the international Round Table movement. Though a relatively small association, it is known for its dedicated international Tablers, who have continuously upheld the spirit of fellowship, service, and professional development. RT Cyprus has also proudly hosted several international events, proving its commitment to global engagement and strengthening its reputation in the movement.
Beyond event hosting, the contributions of RT Cyprus have been recognized multiple times, reinforcing its impact and influence within the Round Table community. With a strong foundation and an unwavering commitment to its core values, RT Cyprus continues to be a shining example of what a close-knit, passionate Table can achieve on both a local and international scale.

Children with Liver Diseases – George Psaras – Round Table
Round Table Cyprus, inspired and motivated by the personal experiences of a small group of individuals, founded the non-profit organization “Children with Liver Diseases” Foundation in 2010. The foundation was established to support families, raise awareness, and provide information to patients, doctors, and the public about liver diseases.
In honor of its former president of both Round Table Cyprus and Round Table International, George Psaras, who passed away in August 2012, Round Table Cyprus decided to financially support the foundation. As a tribute to his legacy, the foundation was subsequently renamed ‘Children with Liver Diseases – George Psaras – Round Table’
Rondel
The Round Table Cyprus rondel features Aphrodite, the goddess from ancient Greek mythology. Goddess of beauty and love, she was born from the sea foam near Pafos. She was praised by Homer, and her image is still preserved in the Aphrodite statue in the National Museum of Nicosia. The legend of Aphrodite has influenced the culture, and her beauty inspired the Round Table members to incorporate her image into their emblem.
The colours of the rondel were inspired by the colours of the Cyprus flag.
