Italy, known for its rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture, is home to one of the dynamic Round Table association, chartered by Round Table France. Round Table Italy (RT Italy) stands out from many other national Round Tables due to its strong regional structure, deep-rooted traditions, and active involvement in both national and international service projects.

As opposed to more centralized models, Round Table Italy thrives on a highly autonomous regional framework, fostering strong local identities while maintaining a unified national presence. With a passionate membership spread across the country, Round Table Italy blends the spirit of camaraderie with a distinctly Italian approach—where community, heritage, and hospitality play a crucial role in shaping its activities and events.

Areas and Tables

Round Table Italy has four areas: Prima Zona, Seconda Zona, Terza Zona, Quinta Zona. The Quarta Zona is defunct.

RTIT does not reuse table numbers, unless a Table is rechartered in the same city.

The Association is formed by over 40 active clubs. Full list of Tables (RTIT).

Interesting Facts

    • The charter of the first Round Table in Milan was attended by Pope Paul VI.
    • RTIT publishes an annual booklet called the “Annuario”,  containing the contact information of every member, the constitution of the Association, and other useful information.
    • In addition, it publishes a comprehensive annual report called the “Relazioni Morali (RTIT)”, with reports from all Table Chairmen, and National Board members.
    • Besides a chairman’s chain of office, each Table has a bell, as well as a big standard with the club coat of arms, which is to be displayed at every official meeting.
    • There is only one IRO within the Association: the National IRO. At the club or area level, this equivalent role is called the “Corrispondente”, and has the responsibility to handle correspondence with the other tables and the National Board.
