Founded in 1981 with the support of fellow French and Belgian Round Tables, Table Ronde Dakar 1 is the proud representative of Senegal within the international Round Table movement. Since its inception, the Table has remained committed to impactful social engagement, offering meaningful support to communities in need across the country.
In recent years, Table Ronde Dakar 1 has experienced renewed momentum, growing to 15 active and passionate members. This revitalization has fueled its ambition not only to expand within Senegal but also to contribute to the creation of new Tables in the region—most notably supporting efforts to establish the first Round Table in Mauritania.
The Table continues to focus on practical, community-driven initiatives. One notable example is its support to the Pouponnière de Mbour, a nursery for orphans and disadvantaged children located 80 kilometers from Dakar, where members provided essential supplies including food and basic necessities for infants.
Looking ahead, the Table remains committed to strengthening its impact through large-scale social actions such as blood drives, fundraising events, and local markets. Recruitment of new members is a key priority, ensuring continuity and growth as current members transition to Club 41.
With a strong spirit of fellowship, service, and regional collaboration, Table Ronde Dakar 1 continues to grow and make a difference—driven by the belief that lasting change begins at the community level.
