In 2006 Round Table International & Ladies’ Circle International signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two clubs to encourage a closer relationship whilst assisting each other, the Side by Side agreement.
At the International Annual General Meeting in 2010 it was agreed to recognize and respect this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the ongoing cooperation between the two organizations by adding item 4 in the Aims and Objectives – To promote, co-ordinate & develop working relationships with Round Table International, Tangent Club International, Agora Club International and 41 Club International wherever possible.
This MoU was renewed cyclically, last time at the Round Table World Meeting in 2022.
History
The original MoU betweenLadies Circle and Round Table International was signed on 15th April 2006 in Livingstone. The signaturies were Simon Cusens and Sylvia Mwansa. One copy of the certificate is located at Dar il-Mejda.
Since then, “Side by Side” has grown and remained a core tenant of both organizations.
