There is no single way of describing what Round Table is. Some members use the potential of Round Table to contribute to their communities on local levels. Some see it as a unique “passport” that opens up new ways of travelling, visiting new destinations, and experiencing different cultures. In the meanwhile, the organisation is there as a support structure for these young men, to help them develop new skills, network, and gain personal growth, while always being FUN! Here are some explanations of what Round Table is:
Surface Level Description
Round Table is a non-political, non-sectarian movement open to men aged 18 to 40 from different professions or trades and with different backgrounds. It brings together individuals who are passionate about service, leadership, and camaraderie, fostering meaningful connections while creating a positive impact on local communities through various projects and initiatives.
Organised Friendship
Round Table is organised friendship. Its structure allows me to fulfill the human need to be part of a social group or support network, which is becoming increasingly difficult in today’s society. The strength of this organised group can then be used to better ourselves and contribute to society in a fulfilling manner.
Personal Growth, international exposure
RT has been the perfect opportunity for me to grow in different ways, to meet people I would have never otherwise met, and to experience the world in a way very few people would have the opportunity to do so. Tabling is my hobby and my passion, and I feel so lucky to be able to make the most of this opportunity.
