Penistone is a market town in South Yorkshire, located on the edge of the Pennines between Sheffield and Huddersfield. Historically associated with agriculture, textiles, and market trading, the town retains a strong rural character alongside modern community life. Penistone serves as a local centre for surrounding villages and is well known for its weekly market, traditional events, and access to open countryside.

Logo

The Table’s logo is a combination of the iconic London Underground roundel and the RTBI rondel.

The London Underground roundel was first used in 1908 on a platform nameboard at the station now known as St James’s Park, located in London’s West End.

The iconic king at the top of the rondel has been replaced with Obi-Wan Kenobi holding a blue lightsaber — presumably a reference to London being the birthplace of Alec Guinness.

“This unique combination of iconic elements makes the logo immediately recognisable — even more so with the name ‘LONDON WEST END’ across it.”
